Four dates, four topics, four locations:
Dear Colleague:
West Virginia's coal is the bedrock on which the state has built
its national leadership in energy. This new Energy Roadmap Workshop
Series will focus specific attention on the issues and the opportunities
facing continued use of West Virginia coal.
The Series on Coal is being organized at the urging and with the
partial sponsorship of the West Virginia Coal Forum. The Coal Forum
was created in 1986 at the direction of the West Virginia Legislative
Committee on Coal Mining to establish an outlet for both management
and labor to jointly resolve or develop technical and other issues
impacting the industry, particularly those issues of an economic
nature. The co-chairs of the Coal Forum are Chris Hamilton of the
West Virginia Coal Association and Fred Tucker of the United Mine
Workers of America.
The WVU National Research Center for Coal & Energy is pleased
to be a partner in organizing and partially funding this new series
with the Coal Forum and the West Virginia Development Office, which
initiated the Energy Roadmap Workshop series. Please join us.
Sincerely,
Richard A. Bajura, Director
National Research Center for Coal & Energy
